It involves recognizing these negative thought patterns, analyzing and questioning their validity, and then replacing them with more balanced and realistic thoughts. Cognitive restructuring is focused on changing thought patterns to influence emotions and behaviors positively. It's a core component of CBT but represents just one of the many strategies used within the broader CBT framework.
